Payment Policy
Important Update to Our Payment Policy
Effective January 1, 2025
Due to the changes in the federal rules on financial collections of dental debt, we are finding it necessary to update our financial policy.
- Payment Timing: Full payment is due at the time services are rendered, and discounts will no longer be provided.
- Multiple Appointment Treatments: For treatments that require multiple appointments, fees may be divided as follows (excluding orthodontics):
- First Appointment: Half of the total fee is required at the first appointment.
- Final Visit: The remaining balance must be paid in full at the final visit.
- Outstanding Balances: Patients with outstanding balances or those who have been sent to collections must pay their balance in full prior to scheduling their next visit.
- Insurance Policy: We are out-of-net network providers with all insurance companies. We will submit your claim to your insurance on your behalf. You will be reimbursed by your insurance company by mail directly to you for the benefit they determine to be appropriate. If your insurance company sends us your benefit amount, we will reimburse you the amount provided.
If reimbursement is expected from your secondary insurance, please provide us with a current explanation of benefits of primary benefits paid. - We realize this change in our policy that was forced by changes in federal collections rules may cause financial stress for some of our dear patients. To help with this burden, we can assist in applying for financing through CareCredit or Cherry finance companies.
- Credit Card Requirement: A valid credit card is required to book a new patient visit. If you do not attend the appointment, your credit card will be charged $75.00 for the time you reserved.
Understanding Our New Payment Policy: Medical vs. Dental Insurance.
It’s important to understand how medical and dental insurance differ, as this can affect your coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
- Medical Insurance typically covers a wide range of health services, including hospital stays, surgeries, and preventive care. It often operates on a complex system of deductibles, copays, and coinsurance, which can lead to significant costs if you’re not familiar with your plan’s details.
- Dental Insurance, on the other hand, usually focuses on preventive and routine care, such as cleanings, exams, and fillings. It has lower annual maximums and may not cover more complex procedures like crowns or orthodontics, which can sometimes result in higher out-of-pocket expenses.

EXCELLENT Based on 673 reviews Posted on MARY ANDERSONTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend this dental office. I had a complicated dental situation, and Dr. Gaebelein worked closely with me throughout the entire process. He was professional, patient, and committed to getting everything just right, even working directly with the dental lab until the final result was perfect. When I had a dental concern, they got me in right away, which I greatly appreciated. The entire staff is friendly, caring, and helpful. Based on my experience, my husband will be going there as well. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality dental care.Posted on Arjo SenguptaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
